With a sigh, he knows when she grows older and self-reliant, she might leave him someday to fend for herself, and the student will leave the teacher. He's an old wolf, passing his prime by a few years. Though before that day comes when she might leave him for whatever reason, they'll spend a few seasons together...and that gave him some hope for the upcoming seasons...for this year at least, though for more years, he wasn't sure. He didn't look that far into the future.
The idea of having a mate and company really appeal to him, and he was lonely, hunting and howling to himself on most quiet nights. The long years of being alone that he no longer cared for caring a pack as he learns to care and fend for himself, and he's too old leading a pack, as no wolves around the region will follow him, and they called him a strange one, an eccentric old wolf, because he rather lives inside an abandoned house where humans used to live rather than living in the forest in the wild like them.
"All right, but when you come to your senses, I won't leave your side ever even after that." Once her reason and rationale come back to their senses, most likely their routine living in the same house with him will be the same as before. The only difference, he predicted that after a few days of her heat will passed, their relationship as him being a guardian might change.
Hiding a blush, since it has been a very long time since he last has a mate. "Um...you are a beautiful wolf. Your eyes and fur are like the color of the oceans. That's when I first thought when I saw you last night...though I didn't think we're going to mate." He said. "So...maybe not tonight. If you want to, we can do it now...before we go to sleep..."
Speaking of oceans, an idea struck him. "Please, come with me. There's a tower of this church. If we climb upstairs, we have a good view at least." He took her hand to show her the hidden stairs at one of the halls where it's accessible by opening a large door. "It's a lot of stairs because it's high, but we'll have a good view." He said as he leads her to climb up the stone stairs.
